Today, around the world Sikhs are celebrating the birth of Khalsa. In 1699 the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh Ji laid down the foundation of the Khalsa Panth by initiating Sikhs to become Saint Soldiers. This gave rise to the Vaisakhi celebration also known as Khalsa Sajna Divas. #sikhofficersassociation #vaisakhi

👮♀️This March, Sikh Officers Association would like to honor and appreciate the women in law enforcement who serve and protect our communities with dedication, bravery, and resilience. Their invaluable contributions and steadfast commitment deserve recognition. We express our heartfelt thanks to all the women in law enforcement for their exceptional service in keeping us safe! Thank you to all the women in law enforcement for your service!
We would like to congratulate Police Officer Parjeet Dhillon on joining the ranks of law enforcement and also keeping his faith intact. Police Officer Dhillon states “Ever since I was young I always knew I wanted to choose a profession that served a purpose greater than myself. I was always invested in selfless service something that I was taught through Sikhi. Therefore, when I started my journey of wanting to become a Police Officer I wanted to connect closer to Sikhi, the values, and represent it in an area where there was very little representation in law enforcement.” Join us in wishing him a safe and successful career.
Members of @sikhofficers joined @nypd and @nypdpea at the Annual Women’s Conference during International Women’s Day.
